Guest guest
Interesting because I cannot take a lot of different supplements and medications because of this RUQ pain- I get extremely uncomfortable. My GI says I am just " sensitive " because my blood tests are normal. I get mineral/vitamin infusions and those are more tolerable but I must say since being on scd the RUQ has gotten so much more tolerable, it's a miracle. > > Yes, some brands and dosages of vitamins will trigger right upper quadrant (RUQ) pain, among other symptoms (nausea, hives, respiratory distress, kidney pain and bladder lining inflammation). I have had to do lots of testing to find vitamins and mineral supplements that don't cause noticeable symptoms for me. > > I have Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction and biliary dyskinesia, by the way (among other health issues). Lots of things trigger RUQ pain and nausea because of this malfunction in my upper GI. > > Unfortunately my body just doesn't tolerate oral supplements and medications, making it a struggle at times. I do best getting things shot directly into my bloodstream. > > Kim M. > SCD 4 years > > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>> > do you ever get pains in your upper right quadrant after taking vitamins? >
