Hi,

Sorry for the off topic post. This is about my NT son who is 8. He was tested

and missed the gifted program by 1 point.Well this year we found out he had a

teacher that his sister had a hard time understanding. She talks like she has

a mouthful,(kinda like a mumble with everything rambled together)and her

phonics and general way of speaking is just awful.(I have a hard time

understanding her)Well I waited to see how my son was going to do,and as

expected he constantly says he cannot understand her.(he has documented

hearing problems too)I asked the school after a few days if they could move

him to another class and they said no. Well we are going into the third week

of school and my son is not acting right. He is very aggitated when he comes

home.He is in 3rd grade. He complains he never gets recess because the slower

kids dont finish and that its a rule everyone has to be done.Simple homework

is now a chore for us,pretending he doesnt know how to do it...and I know he

can because this is refresher from last year and he had all straight A's.Does

anyone know if it is legally possible to have him relocated to another

classroom, and if so how to do it? This is the same school where I had my 3

year old (PDD) child in pre-k (6 mos ago) and the teacher was removed and no

one would say why. Then they kept having a different sub almost everyday and

I finally had to remove my son because he couldnt handle the changes.(he is

now doing well in a home school atmosphere)The school was also giving him

speech therapy but had nothing age appropriate for him.It was games like dont

break the ice, ect. I guess after last years battles with the pre-k I'd like

to know what i'm in for before this battle.(it appears I lost last years

battle) Thanks for listening to this long post. Any ideas are Greatly

appreciated.
