Welcome to the group Sally so glad to have you with us. Eva

Hey everyone! This is my second day of IE. Wouldn't you know I start right before Thanksgiving......oh well! I am actually looking forward to tasting and enjoying ANYTHING I want to, but stopping when I am comfortably full. It should be much more enjoyable that the "over-stuff" method.I have been trying for about a year to lose 10-15 lbs. (depending on the day) that I regained after maintaining the loss for over 3 years. A return to binge eating that was too frequent was the cause of the gain, not to mention big changes in my life. Some of the changes were good, and others extremely stressful. I have been counting calories, keeping food journals, exercising like crazy with mediocre results. Mostly that is due to the binges that would undo my progress. But also I am perimenopausal and my body is really changing. I don't need as much food as I once did. I have come to terms with that now.Anyway, I am sooooo tired of the approach with obsessive thoughts of what to eat and how much and compulsory exercise, etc. I am ready to rest and breathe and make peace with food. So many rules in my head to get rid of and I know I must fight that to be free.Just wanted to introduce myself. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving here in the U.S.Sally------------------------------------
