Trial and error . . . and success!

I just wanted to share two small successes . . .

I tried cooking carrots in a crockpot overnight and was quite

disappointed that my stomach hurt after eating them. I had left some of

them in the crockpot and was gone all day. I decided to try some for

dinner and low and behold - they were fine!

I tried eating half a banana and my stomach hurt afterwards. I thought

on how I did fine with diluted juices, so maybe I needed to " dilute "

the banana. It sounded weird, but then the idea came to mash it up real

good and mix it with drained yogurt. Bingo! It worked!

I guess sometimes ya gotta think outside the box. :0)

One of the things which drives people the craziest when coming to SCD is

that Elaine didn't lay out specific Rules, like, " On Day One, eat

this. On Day Two, eat this. On Day Fifteen, add this. "

That's because she knew that everyone is different. So she set down the

parameters, and each of us has to find our own solution within those

parameters.

Good reasoning, that if the fruit juices need to be diluted, and the

banana gave you problems, perhaps the banana needed to " be

diluted. "
