baby carrots - why are they any different than peeling and cooking your

Eileen,

My reason for recommending caution on what are sometimes sold as baby

carrots is that they aren't baby carrots at all, but big, tough carrots

cut to look small. Hence, more sugars in them.

Cooking and cutting your own, you're not likely to select big tough

ones.

Bagged baby carrots can be differentiated. They have all the features if regular carrots and are tapered at the ends. They would be OK IMO. Yes, if they all have stems on the end, I'd say fine. But my regular

groceries don't carry those (only Whole Food) and me and the fake baby

carrots didn't get along.
