hey carol,

you get stuff compounded right?

like regular meds- does it come in a liquid/oil as opposed to pill form?

how would a compounding pharmacy actually make scd legal meds?

is it even possible to be starch free in pill form?

a little confused by the info i got today and want to check into it so

i dont take something illegal and spend all this money!

I've had one thing compounded. Tylenol. It came in a pill form, with

nothing but the acetaminophen.

hey marylin,

i am so confused because today it was explained to me that if it is in

pill form there will -always- be illegals in it! the main difference

is compounded pills will have -less-. so that is why liquid (the oil)

is best. which weirds me out because i don't know what kind of

ingredients -that- will contain and the flavor will probably be vile.

i'm gonna have to call the pharmacist directly. i would just like to

know what i am talking about so my ignorance won't get the best of the

conversation and i end up stupid not asking the right questions.

having trouble googling the ins and outs about this.

Same here and also Benadryl. I don't know about any other meds as I don't take any. I am not sure what you are asking Eileen. I think even though I was

having OTC things compounded my doctor had to OK it.

My husband is a compounding pharmasist. He gets odd questions all the time, just tell him/her what you cannot have and more than likely they can make it suitable for you. It may not taste good though :)
