Hi Folks,Does anyone take this medication (in addition to using SCD)? I would love to hear from anyone who has used it either successfully or unsuccessfully. My GI Doctor prescribed it for my motility issues, and I'd like some real-life experience data from real-life people :-)Thanks in advance, feel free to write me off list.Nina in MA

I had it briefly before I lost my insurance. Perfect results, wish I could still get it. I had chronic nausea and it helped so much with it. I'm not sure if it's because it got it out of the upper GI problems or what but I did great with it.

Having nothing to do with my digestive issues, I was in the hospital recently and on heavy doses of morphine for pain. It was making me fairly nauseous, so the nurses gave me reglan by iv. It worked miracles on my nausea, and didn't seem to screw up my digestive system at all. Then again, that was done by IV and it's hard to know exactly what it would do, or how effective it would be, if taken orally.

Forgive me if this has been responded too. I didn't see any.

Reglan is often used for a stomach condition I have, called Gastroparesis. It makes the contents in your stomach pass more quickly. Unfortunately, many people are intolerant to them (including me). It makes me feel like I'm falling off a three story building at all times (really yucky feeling). But it does have an effect on your digestive system....you're not dreaming. :-)
