Guest guest
Once again I`m going to mention the question period of Dr. Tators` talk at the Canadian Syringomyelia Conference:............ http://www.pressenter.com/~wacma/smconf97.htm He says in it " Trauma, even the slightest mishap can produce inflamation or even the slightest bleed in the head. Blood also causes further inflamation and this reaction can block C.S.F pathways. Pressure problems and worsening of symptoms can result. This is in addition to the physical affects of the mishap itself. So please avoid trauma! " For the record I see Dr.Tator about my ACM1. He is Canadas` leading expert on syringomyelia & chiari. I asked him about chiropractors & he told me " No, not to manipulate the C-spine! " His paper also states: " Acquired ACM: this can happen as a result of trauma, even a seemingly minor trauma can set up a chain of events that can cause a herniation. " Yikes!! Think about this guys!!! I`m wishing all my fellow chiarians the best weekend! Remember, this opinion swapping is just that, opinion swapping. There should be no hurt feelings! For those people asking about spastisity he mentions something called the baclofen pump? He doesn`t explain it, just mentions it!! I noticed there is another in the group, so I will sign off as MARY/Canada(Toronto).
