I thought I mentioned this to everyone.but I don't have a a great memory sometimes.

Have you heard of the ALCAT Test? I can not afford a DAN doctor; and then my own doctor told me about this test. It is a blood test, and it tests for all that and more, including chemicals, blue dyes , molds, etc. (coverd patially by some PPO's.)

We are going to have it done t see if it can help us point some of her food triggers that cause her GI problems,

Can Dana Wallace or any other allergist do some of the DAN type allergy testing for wheat, cassein, soy, etc, instead of going to a DAN doctor? I'm wondering if with an allergy doctor at least doing some of the initial testing it's easier to get it covered by insurance? Does anyone have any experience or feedback? There is test for dyes, additives, and more. to learn more about it you can go to www.alcat.com for the alcat test. Also Sage (that is another lab) provides the testing too, their website is www.sagemedlab.com. Pricewise ALCAT is cheaper than SAGE, but I know that SAGE does also take insurance and they will work with the patients to determine the insurance situation before doing the test.If you guys need more information you can contact me or contact the labs.
