Guest guest
Hi general question for anyone who transcribes pediatric notes, or for anyone who may know anything about this: My son, who his 6 months old, has swollen lymph nodes under his right ear. They have swollen to the size of a golf ball and the skin on the top is now pink. This started last Tuesday, and he has been on Augmentin since then, so now I think it's viral instead of bacterial, cuz it's not going down at all. The circle is very hard and big, but he is not hardly fussy at all. We are going to the doc in about 5 hours, but I'm wondering if any of you have heard of this? Can they " drain " lymph nodes? My husband and I are understandbly upset and are wondering what can be done. They just popped up last Tuesday out of nowhere, while he was fighting off a cold. Any ideas anyone?
