Hi Katy,

It is a flu virus. had it about 3 weeks ago. He had a high fever for

about 3 days that reached 105.1. We found that children's Motrin helped the

fever the best.

It really knocked him out. He lost almost a pound. Janet was in quite a

panic and it was just before our pedo endo visit. The pedo endo wasn't

pleased with the weight loss either. He has almost recovered it but not

quite. As he gets older and is eating more on his own, it takes him longer

to recover weight loss from an illness because he doesn't eat as much as

when we were feeding him.

Good Luck

In NYC 12/23

Hi,

We had to cancel today's appt with Dr. H. because both our sons were

running

105 degree temperatures. Some virus that is going around.

We rescheduled for 3pm 12/23. The secretary said that there would be 3 new

RSS

families visiting with Dr. H. that day...was wondering if anyone on the list

will be there!

Hi, Katy!

I was going to jokingly say that we saw you in the

city last night near the tree--but that would have

been impossible....it was sooooo crowded and there was

even a " peaceful " protest going on when we came out

from dinner. It was against sweatshops. Anyway--hope

your kids are better soon and Happy Birthday to !

Enjoy the tree when you go in two days before

Christmas--it's beautiful!!

Katy,

Shelby and I just wanted to wish a Happy

Birthday!! It is kinda neat that the 2 of them share

the same birthday. What a blessing it has been to

have them be a part of our lives now for 3 years. Wow

they do grow up fast.

Happy Birthday ,

and Shelby

Debbi,

Thanks......I found the 'signature' to be so true for

Shelby and I...and so often have found comfort in that

statement!!!

Hi Ken,

Sicknesses are so frustrating, aren't they, especially for RSS kids. I think

that , too, has lost weight. I'm afraid to weigh him. It figures that just

when we were so proud to bring him into see Dr. H. and see her happy look when

she saw his weight gain, this would happen. I think his weight is back to where

it was 3 months ago.

Meanwhile, our 1 year old, , has the same flu, but his attitude is, " No

stinkin flu is going to get in the way of my stomach. Pass the fries! " I think

has put on weight during his sickness. Go figure. :-)

Have a great holiday, Ken...Best wishes to you and especially to KEvin.

Katy
