Guest guest
Thanks e for sending this. Very clever way of showing how unhealthy it is to use a microwave. I shared it with my family. It's short, straight to the point, and very demonstrative. [health] Fw: Microwaved Water - See What It Does To Plants - icrowaved Water - See What It Does To Plants Below is a science fair project that my granddaughter did for 2006. In it she took filtered water and divided it into two parts. The first part she heated to boiling in a pan on the stove, and the second part she heated to boiling in a microwave. Then after cooling she used the water to water two identical plants to see if there would be any difference in the growth between the normal boiled water and the water boiled in a microwave. She was thinking that the structure or energy of the water may be compromised by microwave. As it turned out, even she was amazed at the difference. http://www.execonn.com/sf/
Guest guest
I have heard many yrs ago that microwaving liquids is a no no! so I never do microwave or reheat liquids. Also I read that microwaving plastic containers are very bad for you, the BPA thing, and never put your drinking water plastic container in the freezer. (that's getting off topic)I try to reheat left overs now in the oven. I allow time when cooking knowing that I am going to reheat the meal in the oven, as opposed to the microwave which only take a few minutes. So you have to get into the habit of this.I never did like meat reheated in the microwave myself, it also came out chewy, never heats up in the whole thing properly. I can live without the microwave. I sure try to.Microwave popcorn is not the best either, the ingredients are terrible, and has so much MSG in it. I used to have the air popping popcorn machine, it made the best popcorn. That was before I bought a microwave, the air popping machine is not that expensive either. And of course I will look to buy organic popping corn, now that should be a challenge. GMO corn another topic....From: e Bonte <mbmasiba@...>Subject: [health] Fw: Microwaved Water - See What It Does To Plants -Date: Saturday, September 18, 2010, 9:50 AMicrowaved Water - See What It Does To Plants Below is a science fair project that my granddaughter did for 2006.
