Guest guest
Hello to everyone - I just joined this group yesterday, and am glad to be part of a supportive community as I work with these principles. I don't know if this topic has already been covered (and I realize it probably has), but one issue I am struggling with in relation to IE is HAVING to eat at certain times because of work. For instance, I often eat breakfast before I am actually hungry, because I have to leave for work. I have tried waiting until I get to work and then eating something in my office, but this throws my appetite off and then I am not hungry for lunch when it is time to eat because of my work schedule. Of course, this doesn't stop me from eating (hey, I'm here, aren't I ;-). I'm just often eating because it is " time to eat " and not from a natural sense of hunger, so I find that it's difficult to honor that natural sense and really get familiar with it. I'd love to hear how others deal with this issue. With gratitude,
Guest guest
Yes , this topic has been discussed before. I think that if you do a search at the group site for such words as 'schedule', " time', 'breakfast' and/or 'lunch' you may find some good input. Of course everyone here now can and probably will give you more feedback too. Realizing that eating to scheduled times had been one of my downfalls occurred to me early on in my IE journey. Besides needing to re-acquaint myself with my body hunger signals, I also needed to discover the reality of foods for myself - which ones lasted how long for me etc. After I did that, I could better eat something that would 'hold' me for the length of time I needed (to lunch). The best part of IE is that YOU get to experiment with your eating - testing out how food reacts to you, when and how much. IE encourages you to 'play' with your food - ;-) Have fun on your IE journey :) Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Hello to everyone - I just joined this group yesterday, and am glad to > be part of a supportive community as I work with these principles.
