Hey Todd,

Maybe 'gently' (LOL) mention that Elavil helps my tremors - use my name

if you want, have your Dr. email or call me. I think some Drs. are

skeptical when a medication primarily used for something else has other

good effects as well. Elavil is an anti-depressant. It is also known to

reduce nerve pain.' I felt a difference in 4 days. But, I need to say I

am an instant responder to most meds. I'd say more like a few weeks I

think to notice an effect. Alisha, on this list has been taking it.

Alisha, how long did it take for you to feel relief from pain using

Elavil? I'd be interested to know.

Todd, I think I started with 50mg Elavil, a babysize dose. Then the Dr.

and I played around with 75 and 100 and back down to 50 then 25. I seem

to do quite well with good results anywhere 50-100 at night. It CAN make

you sleepy, so I just take it at night. It can make you have a dry

mouth, drink some water, chew some gum. Simple things.

Is Elavil the same as amitriptyline? Seems like I

read this in the information literature I got when

when I first started taking it. This has helped me

alot. For one I seem to be sleeping alot better.

Much more rested.

in Nebraska ----, yes amitriptyline is the

generic name for Elavil. Elavil has some other names

too; for those living out of the U.S. ~ Gretchen
