Guest guest
Hi All, I have decided to look at this issue in a different light. I have not read, nor have I listened to any of the comments that were made recently. I choose not to take in any of his negative energy. When my sister called and asked if I had seen or heard anything regarding this issue I said " STOP " ..Stop, I din't want to hear it. I refuse to give someone like that any of my energy. I would rather not give this person the attention he may be asking for.I hear enough comment on aq daily basis, I don't need to hear any more. I will say that despite what Mr. S may have said said, I have no doubt that negative or not; it is obviously bringing more attention to autism, and that is what we need in order for people to start listening to all of us that need help! SO.. mr. S. sorry I didn't listen to you opinions..but I have heard they were not the nicest choice of words, but thanks for the added attention that will one day help, not hurt our children. Guest guest
I understand the emotional approach to Mr Savage’s rant on autistic children but just maybe he himself doesn’t believe a word he says. In any case his comments has brought autistic awareness to the surface by his comments. Maybe we should encourage him to speak up on the subject every six months. As part of a reality check, can anyone find someone who actually believes what he has said about autism? Even if you could find one person with that same persuasion and evaluate it with the awareness of autism he has created, you might conclude his remarks have had a positive affect on services for autistic children. I know this is an unconventional approach to the problem, but do the math.
