Guest guest
http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/082208dntexschoolinvestigation.2100492b.html The Federal govt coming in to investigate ( & order closed) "facilities" for individuals with disabilities theoretically "should" strengthen requirements for more HCBS waiver money and "should" result in more HCBS waiver money being available. However, usually doesn't work that way........the good news is that while these state run facilities are finally forced to close, the money once spent to run those facilities does not then flow $1 for $1 into community based waiver supports. It costs more to run these hellish facilities than to support the same individuals in the community.......but these excess "savings" do not flow into the waiver money revenues to benefit others needing services. This needs to be fixed. It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here.
