Guest guest
a friend just mentioned how probiotics have completely helped her stomach - not an scd person I looked on my digest gold and it says l acidophilus but only 250 mil so times 4/day is what I get but it says 3 billion on pecanbread just starting yogurt today so that adds some but should i be taking some pills too??? also my friend can't understand how we're allowed to eat cow cheddar/cow milk in our scd diet as a friend of her's family has crohns and can't touch dairy should I be getting goat cheddar, goat milk for yogurt etc? can we buy goat yogurt? or have to make it - they never ferment long enough right?? that's why we have to do it ourselves??? thanks eileen 5 weeks
Guest guest
Goat yogurt is good to me. I don't make it usually though because there's two of us eating it. One doesn't like goat anything. I haven't been able to find any local source of 'just' acidolpholus but after trying different yogurt starters and probiotics, I'm pretty sure it's the acidolpholus that helps me. Some of the other probiotics have made me sick (usually not SCD-legal) and yogurt without it does nothing. It has to be the acidolpholus. There's several SCD places on line and so far I have only tried Digestive Wellness. The other questions--I don't know. I think it's the yogurt with 3 billion and if you eat enough good yogurt, I don't know if you need more. I'm sure a moderator will answer you.
