Guest guest
ok, I am finally headed to a much needed vacation. So nice not to worry about eating, bathrooms or anything except getting a tan. What's the best way to keep yogurt cold for a long day of travel ? I am packing a box with toaster and hand blender for my son's breakfast needs(non scd) and can pack yogurt with it all. Dry ice or those blue ice packs.? Guest guest
Hi , Here's what I've done and it seemed to work well. I dripped the yogurt to reduce the volume, then vacuum-sealed it (but good ziplock baggies would do the job, too). I put those packs inside gallon-sized baggies just to be safe in case it leaked, and packed it in with my clothes along with a couple small blue ice packs. Remember that it won't hurt yogurt to be " un-refrigerated " for some amount of time (given that we let it sit out at room temp while dripping - or at least I do). Enjoy your vacation!
