Guest guest
The Hydrochloric Acid (HCI) can be found in the Healthfood Store but has to be swallowed whole because it's an acid or it will burn the esophagus if you open up the capsule. HCI is actually found in the GI tract and is needed to break down foods for digestion; plus HCI is also needed to create "Secretin" the famous neuropolypeptide that creates muscle in the bowels and is one of the neurological connections to the brain. Zinc is the mineral that creates HCI in the GI tract. Because many children on the autism spectrum are deficient in zinc, their bodies do not create enough HCI and in turn not enough secretin. However, the zinc issue sometimes is not just a matter of giving your child zinc (which I would recommend) but also the issue of the absorbing of it. The whole issue surrounding zinc and zinc absorption has to do with the Metallothionein Protein Dysfunction in children with autism (Research by Dr. Anju Usman and Dr. Bill Walsh). If your child is not on zinc it would be beneficial because it helps the digestive, hormonal and the immune systems. Bufferzyme can be purchased at the office of Dr. Larry LeGunn in Boca - he can ship it to you if need be -. That will be very helpful for the distended belly. You mention about the antifungals....I know this is a common practice with many DAN physicians, however, in many cases the antifungals will get the yeast out of the blood but then it is pushed into the tissue. Frequently what happens with antifungals is the yeast comes back within in four or five months with a vengeance because it's in the tissue. Getting the yeast out of the tissue is more of a challenge because it is systemic. Hyperbaric Oxygen is very effective in this case because the oxygen is pressurized; however I have found one brand of probiotic that heals the tissue - it has a special strain from Japan called "sporogenes". The company is called Natural Energetics www.naturalenergetics.com - you can contact Hal Mc, the founder, for further info at 805 558-4335 - he's on a mission to kill the Candida monster. The other issue with antifungals is that the liver has to be monitored because of toxicity....hence the elevated liver enzymes. You also mentioned that casein triggers an eczema flare-up, however, the underlying issue is the yeast. There are many foods that feed the yeast, so that might be something to keep in mind in particular with connection to the distended belly. BadilloGet trade secrets for amazing burgers.
