Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group. I am also a newbie and have been here almost a week. It's a bit slow right now but maybe us newbies can help pick it up. One owner said the group is more active in the fall and winter. Everyone seems very nice and helpful here. Sorry to hear you have a fibro diagnosis now, too. It's really not that bad af a condition if it's treated right. My rheum gave me Soma which works well. At night I take Elavil, Soma and a pain pill, either Ultram or Darvocet. I also have DDD and OA. In 1992 I had C5- C7 fused. No major problem since then. Since you have broader infused discs you probably have more limited neck flexion than I do. Hope you enjoy this group like I do. warm hugs, Debbie L
Guest guest
Hi Debbie & and welcome to the group. I am also new. I joined about a month ago when I was going through a terrible time. this group was very helpful and very supportive and I was able to get through it with their help when no one else was around. I was diagnoised with fibro about 6 yrs. ago and have tried tons of different meds. Right now I am on talasan, lyrica, effexor at night and sometimes vicodin, but very little. I was just to my dr. today and asked him if when you have a bad day, does that mean that the med. is not working or doing what it is suppose to and he says that with med. the way you can tell it is working is that you have fewer bad days in a month and that the bad days are not as bad. He said that a person could take morphine in a day, but if they over do it or strain, etc. then they will probably fell pain. So I guess what he is saying that no pill is magic.
