The event is the brainchild of the Non-GMO Project and will help to promote awareness about a new seal designed to help consumers identify non-GMO foods. GMOs are currently found in 80 percent of conventional processed foods sold in the U.S., but are not labeled. What a great idea! Consumers have a right to know what is the food that we buy and eat. Now we have an easy way to identify foods that may contain GMO's and those that do not. The Non-GMO Project has already placed its seal of approval on 900 products and will soon review thousands more. You can view a list of all the products enrolled in their Non-GMO Project online. Those bearing the Non-GMO Project seal have

already been verified.Participating retailers will be promoting Non-GMO Project verified products throughout the month of

October. Visit your local retailer today to get a copy of the Non-GMO Shopping Guide. A searchable list of participating retailers is available online.
