At least my ASD kid was not the target of Discrimination

I signed up my son for a sport with the hope of mainstreaming him. I

told the league that I would accomodate him by being on the field if

need be to redirect him (there is legal precedent as long as the

child's safety is not an issue). In the last few days, my son hass been

mysteriously placed and removed from a roster, and I was told today my

money would be refunded as my request for accomodation was a request to

be part of their segregated special needs program, and all the team

slots were filled.

Normally most ASD parents would be furious and upset with this type of

treatment of an ASD child. Since this happened to my other son, a

physically gifted child who they confused with his brother, I just have

to scratch my head.
