Guest guest
I have a few announcements for parents in Florida, or South Georgia area: - Pathways Developmental Learning Center in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL offers developmental family-based programs for individuals on the autism spectrum. Specifically, Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) and HANDLE are offered. RDI addresses cognitive processing through the parent-child relationship, and HANDLE helps individuals with ASDs with organizing incoming sensory information as well as motor output. Both interventions are based on the most up-to-date research in neuroscience. - We also offer free monthly Saturday morning parent meetings so parents can come and learn about specific strategies which will assist their child's development. We are committed to providing programs for autism intervention which are parent-driven, family-focused, developmentally appropriate, research-based and quality of life oriented. Though we specialize in Autism Spectrum Disorders, the HANDLE program is also helpful for other types of neurodevelopmental concerns such as learning challenges, behavioral concerns, or trauma-related issues such as Traumatic Brain Injury. The label of the concern is not as important as how the individual's brain and nervous system are processing and organizing information, and a profile is created to assist in intervention planning.
