I think it is ITOP, an abbreviation I found in N. . It means

" intentional termination of pregnancy. " Seems to fit. Hope it helps! :)

OB-Gyn help, please?

I've got an awful ESL doc here. I'm assuming this is a gyn procedure, based

on the procedure, which is elective dilatation and suction curettage. As

y'all know, I'm VERY weak on gynecology!

The pre- and post-operative diagnosis sounds like " I-top " or maybe " I-tah. "

Does that mean anything to any of you gyn whizzes?

That's great, . I wish I'd thought to check with " Neil, " but that

book is old and I didn't look at it (although I have now and sure enough

this abbreviation is here).

I DID check my Stedman's Abbreviations CD and came up empty handed! There's

another one about which Stedman's needs to be notified!

I appreciate the help.
