Hello Dumby@...,

In reference to your comment:

è I have offered her the option of talking to some of the

è other surgeons about S/L Roseotomy Rasotomy or

è other treatment options that may exist for her back

è pain.

The first word that comes to mind is osteotomy, but I don't think that fits

in this context. I know that sometimes in cases of severe pain they cut the

nerve, but off the top of my head, I can't think of the name of the

procedure. Sorry, I seem to be brain dead today. TGIF!!!

I think you're looking for:

rhizotomy

rU-zotcb-mT

Section of the spinal nerve roots for the relief of pain or spastic

paralysis. Syn: radicotomy, radiculectomy.

back pain

The doc is dictating something that sounds like Roseotomy for back

pain. I am sure this is not how it is spelled. Can someone help???

and I have expressed to her that I am willing to do anything in my

power to try to make these things better. I have offered her the

option of talking to some of the other surgeons about S/L Roseotomy

Rasotomy or other treatment options that may exist for her back

pain.

Delinda,

It is a shot in the dark, but could it possibly be radiculotomy?

Backs are a beast of their own. Sometimes they act up for no apparent

reason, an old injury is irritated and says " Hello we are here! " , sometimes

something as simple as bending over to pick up something....... PAIN will

cause stress on the body and then the BGL will rise..... If icing and moist

heat do not relieve discomfort within 48 hrs see your Dr.

back pain

I've recently been suffering from extreme back pain. I don't recall

doing anything to injure it. Ever since I've had te pain, my bg

readings have risen significantly. I'm not taking any medication for

the pain.

Yes, I am taking Lipitor and know about the muscle side affects. Not

sure if that's what's causing this or not. What cholesterol medicine

doesn't produce muscle problems?
