Guest guest
Hi, I've never really given in thought to not being RSS. He was born with another little marker for RSS, he had a hypospadias which is relatively common with RSS boys. But when you think about it, I don't know that it's not a marker for other syndromes also. Has anyone else heard of another syndrome with Hypospadias as a diagnosing factor? I know that boys can have it with no syndromes at all. Danna Young Girls not yet diagnosed > From: monosolo@... > > Sapphire was born @ 38 weeks 3lbs 2oz - She obviously had IUGR. Guest guest
Hi Dana, When Josh was first born he was misdiagnosed with congenital adrenal hyperplasia. The neonatal doctor would always refer to what he thought was hypospadius as " his funny little penis " You can only imagine how my husband reacted to that. Anyway that disorder also presents with hypospadius. As it turns out Josh doesn't even have that. He's got some rare condition where the fore skin is formed more so on the underside of the penis than on the top. He also has a natural circ. Hopefully this spring he'll have some plastic surgery to correct it! - Mom of (13mons) & (3yrs)
Guest guest
Hi Katy A hypospadias is when the urethra doesn't go all the way to the top of the penis of is placed in a placed in a odd place on top. has a second degree hypospadias and to put in layman's he peed at the spot where the scrotum attaches to the penis. I'm sure anyone else could explain all this better, but had to have a reconstruction of the whole underside of his penis. He sprang a leak from the last surgery and will have to have it repaired at the end of this month. It was explained to me as being another way the body was sacrificed to preserve the brain during invetro. Gee, I'm glad we're adults only now, I'd be afraid to put all this to print if I knew children would read it. On a unrelated subject my lovely little boy dumped my coffee on the key-board this evening and it took me and my husband quite a little bit of sweat & guess work to get it dried out. I was ready to cry, and Buck got on the phone and found out what to do. I had been trying to dry it out with the hairdryer. After we opened it up I saw why the dryer wasn't doing the trick. I suppose I've stalled long enough on doing my homework, I'm doing finals this week and I need to get to work. Danna Mom to Carol 12 10 and nearly .
