Guest guest
I am in the same spot and have to take some form of fiber as I am extremely sensitive to anything sweet due to candida. Any advice would be welcome but for now. I have to take psyllium or flax seeds or I will backup for a week and that exacerbates my candida. Guest guest
miralax is ok to use for constipation. it is pricey but one cannot become dependent on it. at least that's what the GIs at stanford say. my son uses it with no problem. all it does is absorb water in the colon and does not react with any bacteria. again, this is what the GI's said. > my mom was on the diet to relieve what i thought to be ibs > constipation. for many years she has been taking laxatives which have > made her colon totally dependent. she was doing so well on the diet > and then she introduced GF bread. she was ok but after 2 weeks eating > the GF bread she got bad again. she just did her first colonoscopy- > it showed that she was generally fine but that she has a small area of > diverticulosis. the GI said it was no big deal and that it was > nothing. i don't agree at all since i have learned a small booboo for > one person can still be life altering in the sense of discomfort. > > she has been drinking a ground flax seed preperation and elaine's > prune nectar recipe. she has stopped all illegal supplements like 3 > months ago, no laxatives but she will do an occasional coffee or lemon > juice enema she will also get a colonic if she gets too backed up. > now she wants to go very strict scd and i told her that flaxseed is > illegal and that really scared her as she fears she won't move her > bowel without it! does anyone know why it's illegal? anyway, is > there a different prep she can take besides the prune nectar to > relieve her constipation in these difficult first few weeks? and what > do you guys feel about juicing? with constipation does she need to be > as careful with diluting? > > any suggestions would be totally appreciated! > > jodi > > > > >

Guest guest
I understand that psyllium and flax are illegal, but what does a person do if they can't have a BM even with the prune nectar etc. I mean she is suffering and can't handle it. I understand her healing is compromised but what options does she have? As most of the stuff is illegal! Jodi > > Flax seed is illegal. Guest guest
Hey Carol, Shoulda replied to this differently and ask; " The prune nectar isn't working, the salt enema isn't doing the job is there something else she can do? " Sorry if my tone was like obnoxious! I'll try emailing some people directly. Thank you for all of your help! I really do appreciate it! Guest guest
I have misplaced my BTVC book and am looking for the correct prune juice constipation rememdy from it. I've been doing the into diet for 8 days now and haven't had 1 BM. I don't have any stomach pain whatsoever, discomfort, or urges. i won't do mirilax unless it's my last option. I've never been much into taking manmade medicines. My current diet: Homeade chicken stock, with shredded chicken, and i puree all the carrots and some of the onions/celery and add it back to the stock, and I've added peeled and chopped zuccini which I let boil away for 2 hours before sticking it in the fridge to cool and remove the fat layer from the top. Homeade gelatin with diluted 100% Welch's grape juice or white grape juice Eggs - mostly boild but I have made a couple omelets Very lil' bit of honey (mostly when i want a change in my coffee; i make the vanilla coffee someone posted; however, i did buy saccarin for that even though i've always hated using artificial sweeteners; it tastes way better than the honey) I added hamburger patties last night and diluted 1/2 and 1/2 Welch's 100% Grape or White Grape juice. Thanks for your help, Misty Kimble , LA CD SCD - Jan 5, 08 Med free since Jan 8, 08 Symptom free since Feb 5, 08 when I started the intro diet!!!!! > >> > >> Flax seed is illegal. > > > > > > > > > > > >
