Guest guest
Hi Group On response to this attachment I have just one main important question to ask. I understand you are a teacher and a CPT but...... How are you monitoring progress? Is it the parents exercising with the kids or are you providing one to one, or is it a group setting? I am sorry to play devil's advocate but even with the amount of experiece you must have there has to be some formal type of documenation to provide such selling remarks as to say my child's behavior will decrease from your program. Sad to say we know as parents and who dosen't know on this list right now. The good professionals such as behaviorist, therapist, teachers and aids who are good with our kids don't take insurance. Actually the things they do are not medically necessary, meaning they can live without and they will not die without it. So parents try to find ways to manage paying for things to get the autistic child to do. Which is completely ironic because the problem is not that your child cant do anything. Things like exercising should be a family thing. Especially when the child is working out and builds up his/her endurance, and what the parents don't follow the same routine. I can hear it all already "Autistic bodybuilder physically abused weak parents" As funny as that may seem, it's not!!!! Again I am sorry but I hope this can open some eyes to the new parents with young children and make you the teacher ask yourself "So What now? How is this bettering his family socially as a whole."
