Guest guest
I admit, I just stumbled across this group, so I'm not as well trained in Intuitive Eating as I should be. So, I'm going to ask silly questions. I get that we have accepted that dieting doesn't work, and that instead we should eat when we are hungry. I guess I'm just curious if anyone follows personal guidelines? I like all types of food and try to eat a semi balanced diet. I'm nearly 50, I'm short, not quite 5 foot, and I'm a size 10. I always think I should be dieting, trying to lose weight, but it just doesn't seem to happen. I'm not unhappy being a size 10, and if my pants start getting too tight, I pay more attention to my food. I wish I was a size 6, but it's not like it would make any big difference in my life. OK, as I'm writing this, I realize this is probably the group I've been looking for. Being a size 6 isn't going to get me a promotion at work, or mean I would win the lottery, or anything like that. So, I guess I should give myself permission to be what I am, not what I think I should be, or what I was 25 years ago. Am I on the right track?
