Guest guest
I was just inquiring about posting pictures of our children. Some of you were discussing this and I was wondering how to get pictures and how to send pictures of my own. A word on Periactin. The word " cranky " to us meant she was very aggressive. She actually hit me a couple of times! You may say that is just 2 year old behavior, but my child never did this before. She was crying about everything. For instnace, dropping a spoon on the floor was a major catastrophy. The crying and aggressive behavior was short lived though. It seemed like it was forever, but it was only about 4 weeks and the behavior did lessen before that. She is back to her normal self and is asking to eat! She actually said " more ice cream please " 2 nights in a row. She wants to nibble constantly. We are so excited. She is feeding herself instead of me following her around the house shoving bites into her mouth. to the person having a problem with Dr. H.- I know it is very important to have a dr. that you like and have a good relationship with, but we saw specialists in Michigan and Dallas with good bedside manners but no diagnosis. Finally Dr. H. diagnosed her and she is eating( the most important thing). We wish we could have had a diagnosis much earlier instead of wasting our time. -we were just in NYC to see Dr. H. and learned that it is much better to feed our kids small amounts very often throughout the day to avoid hypoglycemia. This was also very helpful info that no one before told us. Debbie- The symptoms of RSS you were asking about that our daughter has as well as nearly all of the RSS babies is growth restriction in utero. I read the pamphlet from the Majic Foundation and it stated this. Our daughter quit growing when I was 6 months pregnant. Her head is also large for her body. It is the only part of her that has been on the growth charts since day one. Dr. H made the diagnosis after reviewing her chart and seeing a picture of her before we met with her. She does not have the low set ears. Sorry to go on so much, I am just so excited to be able to talk to some of you with similar concerns and problems. Has anyone found underware smaller than a 2T? We are potty training and it would be nice if there were some panties that fit her. I have to go now, my daughter just asked for a snack. Another first! I didn't even know she knew the word! colleen-mother of Jaqueline age 2years and 4 months-18 lbs.
