You also need to let your listserve know that our synagogue membership policy for Byachad parents does not require that they become synagogue members. We view this program as an important and unique service to the Jewish Community and we hope to attract any Jewish child with special needs.

I had attended the first meeting 4 years ago about the Special Needs training for these children. During the discussion it was said, when your child starts studying for his or her Bar. Bat Mitzvah , the family must become Temple Members. I was already a member of Temple Beth Emet (my other daughter was training for her Bat Mitzvah.) I was told we would need to be members for this Temple as well. Is this not the case now?
