Guest guest
Well, here's my thoughts - When you notice a headache coming on, you could take that as your bodies first indicator for hunger. As you start to feed yourself at the first sign of hunger that you recognize, you are encouraging your body to keep sending signals. The more you honor that first sign - headache - the more your body will re-tune itself to it's more subtle signals of hunger. I had the same problem with feeling full - it took me some time to figure out when I was full and what a comfortable level fullness is. Oh, maybe after you've eaten, you could take a minute to see if there was any small quiet signal your body sent out before the headache/naseau. It may take a while to notice and learn your body's cues, but it'll happen!! Just my thoughts - you can hit delete key if they don't seem helpful Kim IE since Aug 08 Subject: HELP! Guest guest
, Your physical hunger signals may have stopped or be very subtle...with time, attention, and a desire for your hunger signals to come back regularly...they will. I used to brag about the fact that I could go most of the day without eating anything and I believe that how I was then prevented me from acknowledging or even feeling my physical hunger signals. I found that when I eat later in the evening...like 10 p.m. or later, I wouldn't get hunger signals to after noon...usually around 2 p.m. My night time eating isn't usually for true hunger (i.e., because my body needs food energy)...it's usually emotional/physiological (boredom/wanting to distract myself, being tired and responding to my exhaustion with food instead of sleep:), wanting to numb out). What makes you a night eater? How late are you eating at night? Moving (i.e., exercising) in the morning helped modify the regularity of my hunger signals. When I move in the morning, I usually get hungry around 8 a.m. or not until 9 or 10 if I don't move in the morning. My first sense of hunger in the morning, how much I eat to respond to it, and how much I move/work afterward then helps determine the next time I get hungry...and so on and so forth. If you haven't already, take some time to really track yourself during the day...see if you sense any warmth or gnawing or gurgling in your stomach region during the day and respond to that sense of hunger...then see how long it takes to start getting those sensations again.
