Guest guest
Putting aside for a minute my beliefs regarding vaccines and autism... I would like to point out that the study was looking to prove/disprove the theory that the measles virus from the vaccine disrupts the normal functioning of the intestines and this, through a series of events, effects the brain to cause autism. Even if it did prove that, it did not prove that there is no other way for the MMR to cause autism, or that vaccines in general do not cause autism. The statement the researchers make pretends that they disproved any possible connection between the MMR and autism; yet all they possibly proved is that the theory of the leaky gut caused by the MMR is wrong. Possibly another mechanism in the MMR is the cause, maybe the Mumps virus, maybe the MMR has nothing to do with autism. One thing is certain, they did not help out understanding of autism and it's causes.
