Guest guest
Hi all, I went for my 2nd visit post op yesterday with my nrsgn. I was really affraid to find out what was going on as over the past 2 weeks, I have been having increasing symptoms (returning ones) plus new ones I have never had before. (I'll spare the list, it is long!)In other words, I am feeling worse now than I did before surgery...except for the headaches. I know my surgery went well and really trust my doc. so that I am not worried about. I told him what I had been experiencing. He did the usual physical tests (pin, walk, tippie toes and so on...ya know the drill!). He said that he wasn't worried as the reason is probably that: After a surgery, most of the time the syrinx collapses. As it does, the spine contracts and can cause all sorts of feelings like the ones I have been experiencing. He has scheduled me fo another app in March to follow up and see how things are going. Has anyone experienced this before? I can't help but worry...Chances are that what he said is exactly what is happening, but there is this part of me who is terrified that my condition is progressing (at the speed of light it seems!) and that there is absolutly nothing I can do to stop it! I'll stop now as I am feeling really angry, sad and down this morning as this day is the worse I have ever felt. A big big whish for a great great day to everyone...
