RE: espresso?

Hi ,

I'm not sure what exactly an Americano is.

However, since Espresso is made from coffee beans just like regular coffee,

Espresso per would be legal if the Espresso is a) brewed (i.e. not instant)

and regular (i.e. non-decaf). As far as the caffeine-content, you'd get

less caffeine out of a single shot (1 oz) of Espresso than you would get out

of 1/2 cup of dripped coffee (see the link below to more info and common

myths about Espresso).

Hi All,

Thanks for the coffee responses a couple of weeks ago. Here's my next one:

I currently drink

coffee by ordering 1/2 coffee, 1/2 water, which is good, if the coffee is

nice and strong.

Otherwise, it's pretty uninspiring. I'm considering trying an Americano,

which I believe is a

shot of espresso in a cup of hot water, right? Would that be SCD kosher?

(I mean kosher in

the slang sense, not the separate meat and eggs sense, y'all.)
