Guest guest
Hi I often wake up during the night with tingling and numb hands, arms, feet and legs. I also have this occur during the daytime too... I do have diagnosed neurological conditions that contribute to this, so in my case it's not food, at least most of the time. On occasion I'll have a bad night with digestive symptoms which also aggravates my nervous system so my hands and feet, and other places, go numb and tingle all night, every time I move. In my case it's not circulatory. The swelling of your hands sounds more like a circulation issue, so you might want to check into this. I have spinal damage that causes some of the problem (cervical, thoracic and lumbar), but I also have carpal tunnel and tarsal tunnel damage, along with peroneal mononeuropathy. In my case it affects the nerves and the neuromuscular connections. So I have to continually shift positions even when lying down. Certain pressure on my neck will cause widespread numbness (and severe nerve pain), so I've had to try different pillow combinations. Just some ideas. Most of the time I blame my symptoms on food and supplements too [grin]. Kim M. I was wondering what I had eaten - I did admit to trying half a yam a couple of nights ago. I am basically attributing any ills to food these days.
