Guest guest
Hello Caren, Personally, I think the best sources of info are www.gfcfdiet.com and two books - Unravelling the Mystery of Autism & Pdd (K. Seroussi) and Special Diets for Special Kids (L. ). For enough recipes to bust your printer, look at the egroup gfcfrecipes. The website will explain the diet and give you a list of acceptable foods. I shop at the regular supermarket for all of our staples - milk substitutes, margarine, flour, etc. - only using HFS for items like quinoa grains (yum!). The program seemed very complicated at first, but quickly became second nature. We mostly eat simple, healthy meals to keep the extra time & expense at a minimum. Mostly I need to know where to buy food staples like flour, margarine, milk etc. TIA!
