Guest guest
Hi. Just wondering if anyone is having or has had the same experience. My 9 year old daughter has been strict SCD for almost 10 months for CD. She has no pain, no D, 2-3 BMs a day and is happy and otherwise well. The problem? In the past year she has gained maybe 3 pounds and has barely grown 1/2 inch! Is this normal? Given time on SCD will the growth hormones kick in eventually? How long do I wait before considering human growth hormones? Has anyone had experience with HGH? I read so many letters from SCD moms who say their kids grew 6-8 inches in a year on SCD! Why are we stuck? The last blood test still showed some inflammation, which given the way she feels, I don't understand. Obviously SCD is working to some extent--but not yet to the degree we need. Any advice? Peggie
