Guest guest
I got to thinking how I am always telling my cat how beautiful she is and how much I love her. I call her Princess Misha or Queen of the Kitty Cats. I talk so lovingly to her. And I also thought how I totally, unconditionally love her, even when she makes a mess with a hairball on my carpet just after I've shampooed it. I never get mad at her but always love her no matter what. So this led me to start thinking that I should talk to myself just as lovingly. Telling myself every day I am beautiful, as beuatiful as a princess. And how when I make a mistake instead of beating myself up, I should clean up the mess and just move on. And also, how I want to work on unconditionally accepting not only myself and my body, but others as well. My cat is as she is and so am I and so is everyone else. Guest guest
That's a great observation Alana! We should all treat ourselves that way. I don't have any pets (can't in my apartment) but I always like playing with my parents barn cats when I'm home (I'm totally a cat person!) and I talk to them that way! Always coming up with cute nicknames and talking to them in a silly lovey voice! I talk to our horses that way too! Thanks for posting this! I'm going to remember it the next time I'm thinking bad thoughts about myself and remember to be kind to myself like I am to animals!
