Guest guest
SCD cookbooks are just getting better and better. Many of the newer ones include wonderful sections on tools, food basics, and much more that are so helpful in getting organized and cooking healthy delicious foods that your whole family will love. I wish I had gotten a list of these when I first started on the SCD diet. And I'm sure this list doesn't include everything out there. But maybe it will make it easier for others. Please feel free to let me know of other cookbooks that I haven't included. The last three on my list just came in the mail today. I ordered them from Amazon.com at a pretty good price and got free shipping. I have also purchased some of these from www.addall.com. 's book, " Healing Foods " includes some extremely helpful sections on essential kitchen tools, essential ingredients list and guidelines for what to cook on a weekly and montly basis. These sections will help you in your kitchen organization and actually make all the other books easier to use as well. I started out with 1. Breaking the Vicious Cycle 2. Lucy's Specific Carbohydrate Diet Cookbook www.lucyskitchenshop.com 3. Adventures in the Family Kitchen by Raman Prasad c2004 includes some Indian recipes 4. Grain-free Gourmet by Jodi Bager and Lass c2005 Then I found 5. Eat Well Feel Well Kendall Conrad c2006 Has a good section on stocking your kitchen 6. Everyday Grain-free by Jodi Bager and Lass 2008 Has good sections on storing food, essential tools and basic foods 7. Recipes for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet by Raman Prasad c2008 8. Healing Foods:Cooking for Celiacs, Colitis, Crohn's & IBS by Ramacher c2007 Ginger Caro Crohn's 2.8 years SCD 2.8 years
