Guest guest
Hello all, Just a quick question. I have two girls, 14 and 10 on SCD since New Years and they are experiencing severe under arm odor. The 14 yo seems to have overall body odor just coming through her skin. She is the reason we started SCD for chronic yeast overgrowth and mercury detoxing. This could also be happening in the 10 yo. I picked up some chlorophyll hoping this would nuetralize the odor since it is very embarrasing around their friends. They both use deoderant, of which we have tried several, and bathe daily. Any help?
Guest guest
I buy my deodorant from the health food store. I've tried a few brands that did not help much, but the brand I have been using for a few years now is THAI. It is natural - just mineral salts and purified water. It works better than the other brands I tried. Hope this helps. Guest guest
I didn't read the posts closely but has anyone tried the rocks of deodorant you can get at Whole Foods or other health food stores. Stops odor and perspiration great. I sweat like a goat and use Dry Idea Unscented--it may not be healthy but I sweat like a guy in the summer in Houston. The rocks work great until it gets hot. Guest guest
I guess my ealier reply got lost in the Kiss My Face joke. Is chlorophyll ok while on SCD? The BTVC site doesn't address chlorophyll. Guest guest
Hi , Yes I experienced a bit of a smelly time too however, I'm sure I was just getting rid of unwanted stuff in my body. It happened the first time I was on scd (did it for 18 months). This is my second time round & I haven't experienced it again, in fact, body odor is all but gone so I don't bother using anti-perspirants any more as I know they're not flash for the health. Perhaps you could try upping their clear fluid intake to help flush it out a little quicker. Chlorophyll is what makes many of our vegetables (and the leaves on most plants) green. In that form, it's certainly legal. If you're speaking of a supplement, we'd need to know what is in the supplement, and the source of the chlorophyll. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Thank you. I'll have to go get that info as I ran out of chlorophyll a few months ago and didn't buy anymore because it wasn't on the approved list. The chlorophyll is a concentrated liquid. It kills the bacteria in your body that causes odor. It works really well for me in the summer when it's really hot and my natural deoderant only lasts until around 10AM or when it reaches 90.... whichever comes first. Thanks so much for the reply, Misty Kimble , LA CD - 7 months SCD - Jan 5, 08 Re: Severe body odor At 12:43 PM 2/7/2008, you wrote: Is chlorophyll ok while on SCD?
