Guest guest
, , I agree with what says. We've had a few bad times with acidic pH too. For instance last night, pH <6.4 and ketones >4 but had a sleep sz (roughly 2 hrs after dinner). But I', not certain about pH, as it can change so quickly. Dh checks the ketones etc. at night as I'm not home from work and on certain nights he's had similar readings to last night's. Rohan however had not fallen asleep and had been complaining of feeling 'bad' when I got home. We 've then checked pH again to find that the strip goes green immediately. ie. an alkaline reading half an hour after the first, that seemed OK. These were the times we gave the extra vit B6 and didn't see sleep sz. He also had prawns at dinner and that's something I'm not sure about. Hope we can figure out what to do. Saro....mum to Rohan (13.5 yrs, on KGD from 02/00, med-free for 1.5 yrs, but now on Diamox since 6/6/02) Re: urine ph - and Jenn- > , > Something in the air maybe????? > Trying to fathom this one, all I know is, I have never seen have a good day with an alkaline urine ph, regardless of where his ketones are. But, he has had 'bad' days with an acidic ph, so, I don't think it is the only thing that affects his seizure control, but I am sure it plays a big part. Just gotta figure out how to get him more regularly acidic, then I can hopefully narrow it down a bit more. > Is Molly more acidic in the evening, and is the ph level affected directly by how high her ketones are? > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: sokulski@... > > This is so interesting--Molly's pH has been really wacky, too.
