Guest guest
I once had a bad experience with a surgeon and found out that the American Medical Association and most state Medical Associations only tell you if a doctor has lost her or his licence. Unfortunatly, that takes almost murder to do. I was directed by an AMA customer rep to my local court house to the clerk of courts, civil lawsuits division where I could get complete court records of any doctor that has had a lawsuit against him or her in that county. I found out that the doctor that operated on me had been sued 6 times in the 3 years he had practiced in my county. I could have found out all the other counties he had practiced in and checked on him there also, but that was enough for me. The sick part of it all is that he was said to be in good standing with the AMA and state agencies. I now check out all doctors who say that I need surgery. I find out all states and counties in which they have practiced and go to the appropriate clerk of courts. Good Luck, Stefanie ACM 1, 5mm, cranial decompression with bovine dura patch and C-1 laminectomy in July 99. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
