Guest guest
an update sounds like fun!!! i was in to see ob last week due to being high risk and everything is fine with the baby. he has a nice strong baby boy heartbeat at 142. it was 140 on my us. of course, she told us that that isnt totally acurate but pretty good statistic wise. i went up to mayo where i had my surgery yesterday and my lab is bad. my calcium is way low and my protein is low enough that they are threating protein shakes...yuck!!!!! my blood sugar is running pretty low which is why i have having problems feeling like i am going to pass out. at least i have an answer finally. does this mean that i dont have to have the diabetes test where they make you drink all that junk? i have to take more pills and more pills yet. i feel like thats all i ever get done. and of course, you cant take them all at the same time, that would be way too easy right??? i really do love being pregnant and i guess i really havent had any major problems. the baby is growing too fast for me. it makes me feel like it will be all over and i am just starting. i might as well get used to it. i am 22 weeks and counting. good luck to all of you julie ps...i agree with the comment about comparing ourselves to each other. i am still losing but have just about come to a standstill. i will be happy to gain 10 lb but hopefully not much more than that. everything i am going to gain will be baby unless of course, i win the lottery with butterfinger candybars...yummy!!!!! update----Crystal Hi all, Since everyone is doing updates I thought I would too. I had my 20 weeks appointment today....have herd the heartbeat 4 times now, 2 saying a girl and 2 saying a boy (according to the old wives tale) lol Everything is going very well and I have gained 3 pounds total now. So half way there and very happy! With my daughter by this point I had gained at least 25-30 pounds and had very high blood pressure and was on bed rest with a nurse coming everyday. So I have found WLS also a blessing in pregnancy. Take care Crystal
Guest guest
I guess the 140 and below hearbeat is a boy and 141 and up is a girl theory is WRONG, because I'm having a girl and her heartbeat is usually around 132 to 134 per minute. I have a doppler at home and check it twice a day. I was hoping for a boy, too, but I have been blessed with a baby girl.
