Guest guest
My son was also given chloryl hydrate. He was a very grumpy drunk person. Don't let them give it to him anymore.
Guest guest
My daughter had an ABR test as an infant and were able to check both ears individually. Then right after she turned 3 another test was ordered because she is transitioning from one preschool to another. She was awake and they did several tests on both ears. I got total hearing and individual ear results both times. I don't know the names of the tests but they seem very accurate and they were easy. I don't know why other tests wouldn't work without sedating your son, but if he does need sedated can you see if they can use a gas like the dentist? A lot of things that make some people sleepy make other people hyper and increasing the dose will not change the reaction. Benadryl (child's dose) puts me completely out for hours, but it makes my kid totally hyper for hours. I would ask about alternative tests or alternative ways of sedation. --- viclisaj@... wrote: > My son had a hearing test done and the audiologist > recommended having > an ABR done because he has partial hearing in one > ear, but she didn't > know which ear.
