LUCIE, FL - The autistic boy voted out of class is now inspiring a statewide investigation. The Attorney General's Office is looking into how children with learning disabilities are treated in the classroom. The investigation started after 5-year old Barton was voted out by his classmates at Morningside Elementary in Port St. Lucie. Barton's mother, , wants his Kindergarten teacher to be fired and hopes to raise awareness about Autism. She hopes other parents will come forward with complaints. "By asking other parents to come forward, that brings so much more to it," says Barton. "That really shows you how many people are out there that have children with Autism that are suffering and going through the same type of humiliation." Join our listserv!
