Dear Parent Advocates, I just received a call from the Attorney General of Florida's office ( Guerra, Regional Deputy Attorney General for South Florida) and they would like to set up a meeting in approximately 2 weeks with anyone that would like to discuss concerns about restraint, seclusion, abuse and neglect in our public schools on children with disabilities. This meeting will be open to anyone in Florida. This is an opportunity for all of us to speak up and make our concerns known. Hopefully we will be able to make a positive change in the future for our children. Please email me back by Monday 7/14/08 with your contact information so I can forward to the Attorney Generals office. I will get back with you on the date, time and location of our meeting as soon as I find out.
