Help? Our 15 year old daughter has been on the intro diet since 2/16. I can't arm wrestle her to eat the yogurt or jello. It's been chicken soup, just the chicken from the soup, ground beef, fish (lots of fish) and scrambled eggs. Fresh apple and grape juice, orange juice with her VSL and iron, and water. What's so awesome is that on 2/21 her sed rate was 91. On 2/28 it dropped to 53. But her albumin levels have been around 2 and her doctor is pretty concerned.

She also still has pain and D. She got her Remicade yesterday. She also takes Asacol 800 mg three times a day, and zofran for nausea as needed. She's been taking pain medication since her hosp DC 2/8/08 when the flu knocked her on her fanny. Before that it was kidney stones for 10 days. Yesterday her doctor changed her pain rx from Tylenol with codeine to elavil. We see her again today for an albumin infusion. After talking to the pharmacist, I'm not happy with the elavil rx. I know the Tylenol w/codeine could be contributing to her nausea, but the elavil is a once a day med!

My question is, should I start introducing one legal food at a time for a week at this point? How long is long enough on the Intro diet? Anybody else have albumin infusion? What do I need to know?

Thanks.
