2008 This is a program to provide families that have a school age child or children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their siblings to have an opportunity for social and recreational fun. This is a collaborative project with PASS, the Parents of Autism &

Asperger¢s Syndrome Support Group; the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department; and CARD, the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities. The staff at Loretta Ingraham Recreation Complex is willing to take on the challenge of making sports fun and purposeful for all participants this fall. There will be 2 five week sessions. Each session is $15.00. They will be held Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm. Both begin with an introductory picnic for families and friends to meet, eat and play at Freedom Playground; Macfarlane Park , 1700 N. MacDill Ave. Tampa , FL 33607 The sports sessions will be at Loretta Ingraham Recreation Complex, 1611 N. Hubert Ave. Tampa , FL 33607 . Each sport session will begin with a swimming session from 6:00-6:45pm, weather permitting The first session will introduce skills in Volleyball and Football. The dates are: Aug. 27th at Freedom PlaygroundSept. 3rd, 10th, 17th and Oct. 4th at Loretta Ingraham Recreation Complex The second session will introduce skills in Soccer and Basketball.
