Hi Gitte...can really comiserate with the chronic candida/thrush issues...have

you tried cutting out the honey (concentrated source of sugar) nuts (very moldy)

carrots (high carb/sugar content veggie) and fruit juice? I know it is hard to

conceive of eating any less than you are already but maybe download Kim's SCD

candida protocol and consider trying to tweak things to combat the yeast in the

short run? Kim has compiled lots of info. on this issue that is a great

resource...you will also see some natural SCD legal antifungals that may give

you a leg up...I am stuck too and have had many stops and stops on the diet

twhich seems par for the course for those who really try to adherer to it in the

long term as a lifestyle...just don't give up...I have to believe one can beat

those yeastie beaties! Have you tried S. Bolouardi for the D? I think i spelled

it wrong...it is a beneficial yeast some SCDers have had used to good result, I

think i read it can also help to combat candida bec

ause it is a beneficial yeast that competitively crowds the candida out...good

luck.

Hey all. I really need some advice, since I don't know how to

proceed. I've been on the SCD for almost a year now, but have been

unfortunate/stupid along the way and made several mistakes. The worst

was when I overdid the probiotics and got really sick in last

november/december. Then I went 'back to basics', which means the

intro diet plus a few things, I knew I could take. It took a long

time and when I was almost there, I ran into the worst flu ever,

which turned everything upside once again. So I'm back on the basics

again but this time it doesn't seem to progress. I'm feeling OK in

many ways but I simply can'tget rid of the D. D has always been a

huge problem and I think I have so far had '3 trophies' while on SCD,

but I have been very close several times - and then something

happens. I have also noticed a lot of white stuff on my tongue, so I

suppose I have candida/bad bacteria overgrowth. Every day I now eat:

Breakfast: Chicken broth, yogurt with honey

Lunch: Egg, hamburger patty, almond bread with butter

Dinner: Chicken soup with pureed carrots

Snacks and drinks: Green tea and jello (the juice with gelatine).

Everything is organic, fresh and homemade.

Any suggestions why I can't get rid of that D and the overgrowth?

I will be very grateful for any suggestion. Thanks in advance!

I'm too new to help probably but I was told to back out of the honey

and what about backing out of yogurt or doing goat yogurt - maybe

it's a diary issue???

may I ask how you knew you had too much probiotic?? I was just asking

about that and heard it's rare to have too much especially while

healing??? I'm splitting one Lyo-san pill into a.m. and p.m.m and am

up to about 1/2 cup yogurt a day what were you having???

thanks

Don't worry Eileen, I got a lot more probiotic. I thought " the more,

the better " and was up to 3 cups of yogurt in the morning and then I

got 2 capsules of Lyosan in the evening - without even introducing

slowly. I think I just did, what it said on the box. Big mistake!

About the D and the yeast overgrowth: Yes, I have thought about

eliminating all the things that both you and KM suggest. The problem

is just that there will be nothing left in my current diet then -

except eggs and chicken broth and that's not enough. I have been fine

with the yogurt all the time, so I don't think I have a dairy

problem. Perhaps I should take the chance and exchange some of the

things with some well-cooked veggies, I've had before?

I have read all the good advice from Kim on candida etc and thought I

would try the Boulardii, but I can't find it, where I live. Perhaps I

should try the active charcoal instead?

Thank you for all your comments! I really need some ideas....

twice in the 7 weeks I've been so afraid to lose weight etc but it

was well worth living off the soup with pureed carrots in it and eggs

and maybe a crushed banana in the egg as a pancake and maybe

pearsauce - it will stink but a few days might help????

good luck
